Provision, manage, and maintain containerized web hosting environments for our clients. You'll handle DNS, email systems, SSL certificates, and server-side troubleshooting across dedicated per-customer containers, running day-to-day operations on your own and bringing the genuinely hard problems to the team.
Requirements
- Comfortable running day-to-day hosting operations independently, with the judgment to escalate what deserves escalating
- Solid working knowledge of DNS and common record types (A, CNAME, MX, TXT)
- Email systems and deliverability: SPF, DKIM, DMARC
- SSL/TLS certificates and a real understanding of how HTTPS works
- SSL/TLS automation: Let's Encrypt, CSR generation, manual CA imports
- Web server administration (Apache or Nginx), including log analysis and troubleshooting
- Shell scripting for routine automation
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Comfortable on the Linux command line
- AI-assisted engineering: use it to move faster, and still be able to explain and stand behind every line that ships
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
Nice to Have
- Experience with containerized hosting environments (Cloudron or similar)
- Knowledge of DNSSEC and subdomain delegation
- Email deliverability troubleshooting experience (rDNS, blacklist management)
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Ghost CMS, or similar) for troubleshooting; we do not manage CMS content for clients
